Boardmasters Festival, Newquay (8th – 12th August)

Boardmasters is one of the most unique festivals in the country, consistently drawing thousands of dedicated partygoers to Cornwall’s stunning coastline every year.
Whilst its surf, skate, and BMX facilities make it ideal for extreme sports lovers, if you’re feeling less Tony Hawk and more indie and rock, the music stages are enough to ensure an unforgettable weekend.

Newquay Lifeboat Day, Newquay (19th August)
Once you’ve recouped from the previous day’s festivities, come join the fun for another great day out at the harbour, this time celebrating the brilliant work of our national lifeboat service.
There is no denying the vital work of the RNLI in saving lives across Britain’s coasts every day. Their bravery and constant readiness cannot be appreciated enough and its fundraising days like Newquay Lifeboat Day – the service’s biggest fundraiser of the entire year – that are critical to ensuring their noble work continues.
This incredible free event showcasing ‘dramatic rescue demonstrations’ with live music, food stalls, and more is an opportunity for an exciting day out whilst also supporting an excellent cause.
Beach Tag Rugby, Newquay (24th – 26th August)

If you’re looking for even more reasons to visit the coastal gem that is Lusty Glaze Beach, look no further. This popular waterfront tag rugby tournament is the ideal trip to let loose in some seaside action.
Choose from a wide selection of food and drinks from the on-site restaurant then grab some friends and battle for ownership of the tag rugby champion’s trophy. Be sure to stay until Sunday night when this epic three-day event closes with an unmissable live music and firework finale.

Newquay Fish Fest (7th – 9th September)
Nobody does seafood better than the South West - it’s a fact. So when Newquay throws one of the biggest seafood festivals in the country, you can be sure it’s going to be a memorable experience.
